About Urban Warriors

Urban Warriors is a nonprofit organization based in Little Village, Chicago, committed to empowering youth through free and accessible programs in sports, wellness, multimedia, and leadership. We serve over 300 youth annually through programs such as Project 21 (Travel Baseball), Guerreras FC (all-girls soccer), Yoga Pa’Todos, Correcaminos (Running Club), Village Moves (Chess), and our Multimedia Program.

We address mental health, academic success, and financial literacy, and emphasize civic engagement—logging over 2,000 youth-led service hours since inception. Our funding sources include private philanthropy, state and local government contracts (e.g., DFSS, ICJIA), and individual donors. In 2024, we were awarded $1.7M in capital funds from the State of Illinois to develop a youth-led sports and arts complex.
